Jimenez and Caca Bueno are the latest drivers to join the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY field ahead of the championship’s inaugural season.

The pair will drive for Jaguar Brazil Racing and become the third and fourth drivers confirmed for the series which will get underway in Riyadh on Dec. 15.

Bueno is a five-time Stock Car Brasil champion while Jimenez has a wealth of experience in GTs, touring cars and other formulae.

“Being among the first riders to race in the first official competition of electric car production is a privilege,” said Bueno.

“Jaguar is making history by being at the forefront of premium vehicle electrification.”

Added Jimenez: “I am very pleased to be chosen by Jaguar Brazil and to participate in this unprecedented championship.

“Certainly this event will go into the history of world motorsport and to be part of it is fantastic. I have good tuning with Caca: we have been together for three years in Europe and we had many podiums.

“Now as teammates I’m sure we’ll take the Brazilian flag to the top of the podium.”

Jaguar is holding a pre-season event for the series this week, including a test at Silverstone.

Jimenez and Bueno join Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Katherine Legge and Bryan Sellers in the eTROPHY field.
